Founding Members
OCEC was founded by a group of extraordinary people who had the vision to work for a better social climate on the local level. In 2008, after the passage of Proposition 8, OCEC formed seeking marriage equality and respect for all people in a progressive Orange County. The community united using our voices to oppose discrimination through outreach and education.
We especially want to honor the late Katherine Darmer. Her passion and contributions echo through our efforts and we will always be grateful for her friendship and service.

To develop and sustain an infrastructure that enables the attainment of equality for all through education, dialogue and advocacy.
